We, the Triangle South Workforce Development Board (TSWDB) staff, are so excited to be transitioning to more technology-driven methods to communicate with our partners, contractors, participants, and local employers. So with that being said, welcome to our blog!
This blog will serve as a means of communicating our local success stories, upcoming community events, and valuable labor market information for both jobseekers and employers in our community. In addition, this blog will highlight the many initiatives of our partner agencies including the NCWorks Career Centers, local community colleges and school districts, as well as community-based organizations that play such am integral role in strengthening our workforce.
The TSWDB envisions an efficient labor market that offers well-paying jobs for area residents, provides a well-educated and well-trained workforce for area employers, attracts new businesses and facilitates economic development. We are responsible for the planning, policy guidance and oversight of the workforce investment system in Chatham, Harnett, Lee, and Sampson Counties. We also oversee the One-Stop Career Center System and provide access to in-demand training for jobseekers who are unemployed or underemployed.
The mission of the Triangle South Workforce Development Board is to develop and utilize effective leadership and partnerships among business, labor, government, social services, local education agencies and other communities of interest to create and support one efficient, customer-centered and market-driven workforce development system.
